Canterbury Community Nursery School provides quality programs for children ages 2 1/2 to 5½. The school serves over 100 families, helping them understand the importance of meeting the developmental needs of the whole child.

Canterbury Community Nursery School (CCNS) is a program that celebrates differences ~ cultural, ethnic, gender and ability.

All children are recognized and respected as unique individuals with varied learning styles and developmental needs.

Canterbury is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Social Services, and has also been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) since 1996. Canterbury is currently in the process of becoming accredited by the National Association of Child Care Professionals. (NAC)

The school is staffed by qualified and dedicated professionals, under the direction of Terry Tusing. The teachers participate in monthly staff meetings and attend local and national conferences to enhance professional development.
